Eyelet and Forest, are examples of new works in progress. The original images are Kodachrome slides from the 1950's and 60's that were taken when the film was misaligned in the camera when wound or loaded, creating a black "stripe" on the edge. I'm responding to these images by creating another severe crop, and then activating the negative space with hand-painted glitter adornment on the surface of the print, which is reacting to the image in some way. Please check back for more new work as it is completed.
