The First Supper
The First Supper was exhibited at the 1010 Gallery in Knoxville, TN on October 30th, 2009.
The installation included a fully set dining room table complete with chandelier hanging from the ceiling. Placed at the head of the table was a meal of mac'n'cheese, lucky charms, and kool-aid. 13 mixed-media drawings were hung on the walls, each in their own frame made from assorted macaroni noodles and gold spray paint. The table cloth and curtains were hand-silkscreened with originally designed patterns. There was no food available for guests at the opening reception, but parting gifts of boxes of mac'n'cheese were for the taking, with instruction to "make and enjoy at home."
