Ghosts in the Woods
These are also altered photos from my personal archive of various hikes and camping trips I’ve taken. This work is commenting on the spiritual connection people feel when “getting closer to nature” as both a glorious and unsettling thing. Like ghosts… spirituality, love, and death are things we can’t explain. This work is full of personal longing for understanding and experience for such things. By cutting up and reassembling these images I am creating my own weird, scary and enchanting stage begging for such events to occur.
All pieces are mixed media collages scanned in the computer and re-printed as photographs. Size variable.
