Biography
Kelly Hider was born and raised in Rochester, NY. Early on, her experiences at Monroe Community College solidified her interest in abstract painting. Beginning in 2003, Kelly lived for two years in northern California among the Sierra Nevada mountain range. This geographic change, and her time at SUNY Brockport garnished her appreciation for the inherent patterns in nature and the handmade patterns found on products. She has had solo exhibitions at the University of Rochester and at SUNY Brockport in Rochester, and has recently participated in small group exhibitions at Cazenovia College in Syracuse, NY, and at Lyon College in Arkansas. Kelly Hider received her BFA from SUNY Brockport in 2007, and currently resides and studies as an MFA candidate at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
